Consulting during COVID-19

Believe it or not, I have been able to produce more during this pandemic than before. People are slowing down and not spreading themselves too thin, between hair appointments and 100's of meetings, keeping up with life has seemed to become easier during this time. With the use of social media, LinkedIn, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc., we are staying connected while staying safe. A. Riley Consultants hasn't halted in production. It is still possible to get the job down while sitting at home in your sweatpants.

Talking with clients has become a bit easier on time. When I say more productive, I mean I can have three meetings in three hours, versus pre-COVID-19 when those three meetings would take all day with drive-time. The use of social media has allowed me to push through my work, getting straight to business, without any drag time.

During COVID-19 online meetings are preferred, but there will be times where you are required to meet in person. Make sure when having in person meetings, you have prepared yourself with all of the safety precautions. Prepare the day before. Make a shopping trip and pick up a mask, hand sanitizer, and gloves. These items are important during these meetings. Imagine walking up to a meeting and not being allowed in because you don't have the proper safety precautions. I don't want to be that person and I know you don't either.
